Hi Ken, We had contact a few years back, but I haven't made a reunion yet. If I get the information, I will be at the next one. In spring & summer 1970, I worked on the island with a great group that included: Benintende, Allingham, Brower, & Mitchell. If a 2018 reunion is in the works, please let me in on it. I hope to see any Nha Trang (Det. 4A, Hon Tre) personnel.

Hi Rick,

Its a great place for a reunion. (I lived there as a kid from age 8 to 15 - right across from the conference center - which was previously post HQ) We have had two there in the way back past -- not a DINFOS reunion - but AFVN reunions. We used the Sheraton just off post on 56th street which gave us a good rate. Indy is easy to reach by air and the post is easy to get to from the airport.

Indy would be a good site for a reunion some day. Exactly 50 years ago I was attending DINFOS. The fort is now a state park, with hotel, golf course, trails, brewpub, museum....but perhaps not enough DINFOS alums in the group. I for one am proud to be a Dinfos trained journalist instead of a university j-school grad.

Robert, do you have a pic of you from that period? I was at Hon Tre Jan-March 1970 and wrote about an incident that happened there in my book, "Broadcasters: Untold Chaos." I was in news, USMC.

Add me to reunion list for Det 4. I was there summer of 69 to January of 70. Remember Charles Benintende well.
I was a Sgt., USMC (the Other Marine, Mick Mankey being the leader of our band of two) also remember well C. W. Lane.
