What a wonderful thing to do to show honor and respect to those who have served and given the ultimate sacrifice for our liberty. In a day and age where it seems so many are against our military, it’s super encouraging to see restaurants and their staff take care of our warriors. These folks go through more than you and I can imagine and absolutely deserve to be held in high esteem. Make sure to tell those serving in the military in your life how much you appreciate what they do.
Avey wrote on a now-viral Facebook post that the beer simply sat next to her at an empty place setting during the entirety of her lunch. Buffalo Wild Wings picked up the tab for her brother’s beer, but that wasn’t the end of it. “After she left, I didn’t have the heart to dump the beer out and throw it away, so I put it on top of the cooler next the American Flag,” Avey wrote. “When I showed my boss his response was Amazing… He said ‘That’s Fine, just do me a favor, put a fresh Lime in it Every Morning.’”
“Thank you. An act of kindness goes a long way. It means a lot to me. Have a great rest of your day,” the woman, “a grateful soldier” wrote on the receipt before leaving the restaurant.
Brian Avey, a server at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Tacoma, Washington, said a “military woman” came into the restaurant around lunchtime and attempted to order one Blue Moon and one Corona at the same time. But there was a problem: You can’t do that.
When Avey explained the state’s law of only allowing one beer at a time, the female vet said that the Corona she ordered wasn’t for her; it was for her brother who had died serving in Iraq.
It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of our men and women in the military, and I’m truly thankful for the sacrifices they make to preserve my freedom and keep me and my family safe from our enemies.
Given my love for those who serve, what this Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant did after a woman ordered a beer for a fallen soldier hit me straight in the feels.
Seriously. This is awesome

When we travel and pause at a rest stop, I look for guys or gals in uniform and pick up their meal tab. Sometimes I can catch the waitress and do it anonymously other times not so anonymously. It doesn't matter to me if it is an individual, a group or a family, it's just to let them know someone cares.

One of my favorite things that gets left at the Wall is liquor! Sometimes it's a beer or a little bottle of Jack Daniels (sometims even of big one!) with a note, this is for you, buddy. My favorite is two bottles of beer--one empty, one full--with basically the same message, spoken or not.
