Just a tiny little fishy bit, Steve - the SEAL trident.  Without the boat reference or without the trident, one or the other, but very unheard of to see a SEAL a member of a boat crew.  There were some non-SEAL coxswains who drove STABs, and that would be a BM GMG, or QM duty, but SEAL talents weren’t wasted on being boat drivers. The MRF boats did often have Navy crewmen, and they did name their TANGO boats, but those weren’t SEAL sleds. They were usually old Mike or Mike II boats that carried the Army’s 9th ID into and out of combat.  Zippos or 40 mm platforms were modified TANGO boats as mid- to close-range support for the legmen.
One possible scenario would be when doing some really dirty stuff with folks not of your own unit, people would trade baubles.  I have an SVN Marine pin I wear for a mission I walked with them one dark and stormy night, but I never wear it as part of my uniform.  It resides on my VFW hat, and even there sparks an occasional Q and A from a Marine who doesn’t know me or what I did.

I saw these in an Army/navy store today.  Saw the reference to the Brown River Navy and thought of Ken.

Didn't see a GCM.  Is there a story there?  Ha, most of us just didn't get caught.
