Know several Nam vets who, upon returning home, were asked, "How could you kill babies?" One of them was asked that at a party and was so sick of being asked the question, he responded, "Aw, it's easy. Ya just lead `em a little less."

Some fucked up captions, though. Most blatant? That “jet” dropping napalm.

What irks me to no end, Dick, is any time a criminal is apprehended who happens to have served in Vietnam, the media just have to go out of their way to mention that he was a Vietnam veteran--as was the case the other day when they apprehended the "Night Stalker", thus perpetrating the myth of all Nam vets as crazed baby killers once again.. How often in past years when a criminal was apprehended who served in Korea or during WWII, do the media report, "So and so, a World War II veteran, was apprehended today"?

The media also love "former cop." I casually mention around here now and then...."Sure would be a shame if a Crazed Vietnam Vet took all of you out!" It seems to keep them on their toes....and off of my back!

I see a lot of these things on Yahoo that tell a story with a series of slides.... that have no clue what the story is about! I also constantly write anchor people and newspaper reporters about the difference from an Assault Weapon and a Semi-Automatic... and of course never pass up an opportunity to remind a reporter that you don't "win" Medals of Honor.
