Well, if you’re looking for a fun, helpful group, may I suggest FLOMA? The Future Lecherous Old Men of America is an all-volunteer group doing its best to provide eye candy and heart-health tips for older men. Unfortunately, I have just been booted from the organization for no longer being eligible for membership, since members determined that I was already a lecherous old man.

That sounds like the group I need to join. I may have the same membership problem. I was a charter member of the dirty old man club back in high school.

Join your state chapter of the ESGR...Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves....I am the NC Public Affairs Officer. We work hard to make sure our Guard and Reserve kids don't get the short stick at their civilian jobs....and now we are helping them find jobs when they come home from the war zone. Suicide and un-employment is very high among our Guard and Reserve folks. I feel like what I am doing is really hands on! I couldn't volunteer in the VA hospital or anything like that.

You know I am not a CPA but the numbers in the BBB report are odd to me.
If the total income is about 900k, one officer, (of 4 paid), draws 100k... how can the administrative costs be be only 19k or 4% of the expenses. The numbers do not appear to be consistent.
Oh well that just my ignorant look at the books.

Right at the top of the article it says the BBB certification EXPIRED in 2012, doesn't that mean anything?
[NB: As of September 22, 2014 the BBB said it did not have a current report from this organization. Webmaster]

Here's the link to the Better Business Bureau rating for The Mission Continues:
It's a BBB accredited charity. You would have to look at its goals and objectives to decide if it is something that fits with what you are looking for, but it does seem to be a legitimate organization.

I got this from LinkedIn. Is this worth while or is there a better place volunteer my time?
